As with just about anything NASCAR related, buyers of this item are obviously paying a bit of a premium for this item (when compared to other flash drives), though in reality the price of this item isn't bad at all given the amount of memory provided.

The item details mention that buyers get bonus videos and other fan materials that are preloaded on this device and that is true, though I must admit to being a bit concerned about receiving a device like this with information (of just about any kind) already on it. There have been more than a few known instances of devices like this coming with data on them that was unfortunately corrupted or compromised with a virus prior to being packaged and shipped. My own personal preference would be that a device like this is shipped clean (with no data on it), though I appreciate the thought and effort to provide added value by including the fan materials that were preloaded here. Of course, as hoped for and expected, no viruses or other malware were found on this device when it was received new in the package, though that inspires one more thought when it comes to these types of devices: be wary of buying such devices used as you may find that the previous user's antivirus software isn't as thorough as it should be. For the few dollars you might save buying used, you could be inviting a lot of problems and costs for cleaning your system. (Note, I'm not trying to imply that anyone selling one of these devices used is going to knowingly sell it with malware on it, I'm just trying to remind buyers to be cautious as your system and the data on it is likely quite valuable to you.)

One concern I had in advance, dating back to when I was originally hunting for a flash drive that supported the feature, was whether or not this device would be ReadyBoost capable. I'm happy to report that it is, as I'm currently running the device for just such purposes (leaving it hanging on the side of the laptop I use as my primary computer).

While the device looks cool just hanging there, it's also neat to see the tail lights flashing as the device is being accessed.

Could I use another flash drive instead of this one? Sure, I did in the past (before receiving this one after ordering it). There was nothing wrong with that drive, but as part of NASCAR nation, well, I do like being able to show my allegiance to one of my favorite drivers.

Fast delivery, great product. Tail lights even light up. Had pictures of Gordon on the flash drive as well. Love it.

I found this product to perform as expected and found the blinking tail lights during down and up loads to be a nice addition.
