Central Auditory Processing Mostly Management, July 1, 2000
This review is from: Central Auditory Processing Disorders: Mostly Management (Perfect Paperback)
While this book is clinical in nature, it is very helpful to the lay person in understanding different types of auditory processing problems and what their effects are on individuals. There are many different types of graphs, plates, tables and figures which assist in understanding different types of behavior and management and some crossover to ADHD and why. The diagnosis is better understood along with the various auditory therapies available and necessary to assist in training a person deficient in certain processing areas. The authors do a good job in explaining the tests for CAPD and what the evaluation results are based on.There is also an excellent reference list after each particular section for further reading based upon these authors' research, etc. There are many strategies for success for individuals with CAPD; this book covers so many questions from the neuroscience to evaluation to the relationship to specific learning problems to treatment and management.

CAP Ripoff, September 3, 2006
This review is from: Central Auditory Processing Disorders: Mostly Management (Perfect Paperback)
Overpriced short book with decent references. Overall weak in subject depth - cursory and did I mentioned way overpriced. It's obscene to charge $60 for a superficial paperback that's required for coursework.
Disappointing
