I normally don't have a sensitive stomach but these vitamins make me nauseous and even cause me to vomit whether I take them with a meal or not.

I do like the big long list of vitamins and minerals, it has more to it and higher daily percentages.

I've been taking Centrum Performance vitamins for years. A couple of times I tried switching to another brand just to see if there's anything better for a lower price, but I always went back to Centrum. So when I got pregnant for a second time and found out that Centrum has prenatal vitamins, it was a natural choice for me. As far as product quality and composition goes, I don't really have doubts in this brand. My disappointment with the product is for different reasons:
1. I don't usually have a sensitive stomach, but if I don't take these vitamins with a good sized meal (preferably that has meat or something "heavy" in it), I get a stomach pain for about 15 minutes. Very unpleasant surprise.
2. The packaging is very inconvenient; I personally can't stand the fact that I have to peel off the paper layer in order to get to the foil layer so that I can eventually push the pills out. Why so complicated?
3. The description says "56-count". Maybe it was just me, but I usually take the time to read the product information carefully and have never made this mistake in the past - I interpreted this description as "56 servings". Apparently, that's not true. You get only one pack that lasts 28 days. Very misleading and quite an expensive price to pay for less than one month's usage, even through the "subscribe and save" program at Amazon.
I have ordered another pack right now since I ran out of vitamins completely; but I will be checking for other options next month.

These vitamins are great but don't take unless you've eaten something substantial. I had a lot nausea when I took these right before I ate or if I only ate a small snack with them. Now I taken them with a good sized meal and don't have any problem.

Overall they are great Prenatal, However, according to my wife they are hard to swallow. The pills are a bit large. So that is why I gave it a 4. Other than that the ingredients are great for the mom and the baby.

I really don't find any trouble with these vitamins. I chose them at the drugstore with a list of vitamins and minerals I'd be needing throughout my pregnancy and they were the cheapest brand that had everything I needed.

That being said, yes, they are big and, yes, they will make you nauseous if you take them without food or first thing in the morning. That's normal for prenatals. I take them at night and, even with bad nausea, never had a problem. There are two pills, one is DHA in it's natural state.. and that's the only way I would trust to take it. It's worth it to make sure baby's brain gets what it needs.

If you have a sensitive stomach, get gummy vitamins with DHA. Otherwise, these are the most comprehensive vitamins I could find and I would be uncomfortable paying less and not being secure about whether or not baby is getting everything it needs.

PS This is my other-half's account. I'm not a man reviewing pregnancy vitamins ;)

Seems a bit overpriced for just being Centrum - so I've just switched back to regular Centrum while we're still trying to get pregnant because my doctor said that was enough for now (100% folate). Also, the packaging is very annoying - definitely not frustration free!

I am trying to be healthier this year, and I came across an interesting article that said all women who are of childbearing abilities should take prenatal vitamins. Apparently, it is all the vitamins a woman needs, and extra just in case. I like that idea, especially since I am hoping for pregnancy.

My doctor said to buy any over the counter prenatal vitamin. I chose this one, even though it costs more, because it includes every vitamin you need, and most are the right amount (according to webmd.com and the mayoclinic websites). It even includes a fish oil capsule for vision and brain development!

There are some draw backs to this product, however. The price is high. It is 28 doses, 2 pills per day, and some stores around me charge in excess of $20 a box! That is a bit much for vitamins. I found the "subscribe and save" is the best option to save money.

To reduce nausea I take my pills with dinner every night. Dr. Oz even said on his show that you should cut multivitamins in half and take in the morning and the other half with dinner. Taking vitamins with food helps them to be absorbed better anyway. Although it is the most comprehensive vitamin, it lacks in calcium, so I also take a calcium supplement to make up what I lack in food.

And the worst of all, fish oil thins your blood. It can reduce the ability of blood to clot, so be careful. I had the flu and ended up with a long nose bleed because of the fish oil. I cannot take these capsules everyday, but my husband does not mind them, it is good for everyone. And in order to reduce the chance of fishy burps, take it right before you eat, and eat a big meal. A broth soup or just a slice of bread will not overpower the fish oil.

This is my first time trying Centrum Prenatal brand, it was on sale and figured this give it a try since my husband takes the mens vitamins...Everytime I take this (even after a full meal) I get nausea and stomach pain discomfort..It goes away after about 15 minutes or so, but the other brand I took I didn't have this problem, so probably switching back.. It's a bit scary, wondering if the side affects make my baby feel the same too.
