4.0 out of 5 stars Functional, simple, useful. May 3, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase
The good:

- It works as advertised

- Does not leak, unless it tips over during transport (the fresh water tank leaks)

- Seems solid in body, seals and connections, except the cover (don't stand on it).

The not as good:

- Flushing tube is not too powerful, perhaps having multiple nozzles would have helped. It seems to only rinse a certain section of the bowl.

- It leaks when it tips over (which you should guard against), probably from the bellows or rinse tube (it leaks clean water only)

- It is prone to tipping over when it only has fresh water in it (becomes top-heavy). The smaller model probably would be more stable.

- It lacks a pressure-relief valve which some more expensive toilets have. When it comes time to empty the waste tank, one must be rather careful when opening it as internal pressure build-up can cause it to splash initially, probably in your face. Alternatively, relieve pressure with the cover down, then remove the tank.

I have not tried any chemicals in it yet (short trips).

2.0 out of 5 stars water tank has sprung leaks September 2, 2010
I have owned this model for 1 year. I have used it on 2 separate week long trips in my RV. Initially, I was very pleased with the design, it is sanitary and easy to clean, it does not get smelly. However, I just pulled it out to use for the third time and the water tank has sprung 2 leaks right where the latches on either side attach. I am going to try patching it with caulk, but I feel this product should have had considerably more life in it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy Operation May 21, 2009
I recently purchased this portable toilet for a trip to bike week. We have an enclosed trailer that we added a bath and kitchen too. Instead of adding a holding tank we bought this toilet since we would only be going on weekend trips. I was so impressed with this product. It worked great for the weekend, never a problem with operation, and was easy to empty and clean. I would recommend this product for the weekend camper.
