About the Author
Waldoboro, Maine, photographer Cindy McIntyre has published two other photography books, and her photos have appeared in hundreds of places through stock photography agencies. She has also built a business selling her hand-colored photo prints at crafts shows.

"I began collecting Maine postcards six years ago. As a fine art photographer who hand paints my black and white photographs, I felt a kinship with these old 'tinted' cards. I found a few for a quarter apiece, and I was hooked. Often I bought a town view before I ever visited the place. Aesthetics of color and charm attracted me, leading me on a drive to see how the town turned out a century later."
