It is an absolute shame that I have to write this review because this product had a lot of potential. The mounting hardware is approximately >2.5" in diameter. This exceeds the standard 2"(approx.) between the outer edge of the door jamb and the inner edge of the doorstop. Even if this hardware was sized more appropriately, it is very flimsy. Like I said, it's a shame because this is a great bar. It should be noted also that the grips are not adjustable, however, they were spaced appropriately for me (otherwise this would of been a deal breaker too). This is actually the second pull up bar I've tried. The first was the Sunny Health one, which was junk, and the third was the SPRI Pro Line Pull Up Bar, which I have great hope for (I haven't actually received it yet). This is a very frustrating experience for me because I owned one from target that was hands down the best pull up bar ever made- sturdy, adjustable grips, great mounting hardware. Bottom line- although this bar may be very high quality, the mounting hardware makes it a poor choice.

This is the first Pull up bar i got from this site and i love it I needed a bar that i can use that will not damage my door way. I don't have a door way where I can hang a bar of the fame. i don't have a door way where i can screw and thing in, i rent and cant do that. This bar is perfect. it comes with thing to hang the bar of, but trust me u don't need it. Just twist it till it forces itself to the sides of the door and it can't move then you are all set and good to go. Thumbs up?? if you are looking for a bar that not hard to hook up and u can take it with u any where this is the bar to get.
