About the Author
Professor Penny Sparke is Course Director of the joint Victoria and Albert/Royal college of Art History of Design course at the Royal College of Art, London. She has published and lectured extensively in the U.K. on art and modern design.

Excellent brief over view with short bio and photos of the major designers of our century. The only drawback is that the author has a clear bias towards furniture, so that most of the photos show furniture even when the designers have created products.
