Quite informational,
By Michigan Reviewer (holland, MI USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: A Century of Japanese Motorcycles (Hardcover)
A book written by a couple of Frenchmen about the early Japanese motorcycle industry. Well done, too. Great photos and great background. I was unaware of the early post war days of the nascent Japanese motorcycle industry. No longer. From copiers extraordinaire to the world's true innovators in two wheeled transportation. I had the pleasure, and it was a pleasure, of owning a 77 Yamaha 360 and a 76 XS500c. Had a pic of a variation of my XS500c in the book. I remember riding many of the other late 60s, early 70s models, too. Brought back some very fond memories. As a bike enthusiast to this day, although we have Vespas now, I still do enjoy reading up and learning more about motorcycle industry. So much of the info and publications we get today are geared toward Harley Davidsons, not a bad thing, it is refreshing to see someone delve so deeply into the history of the Japanese makes. If you like motorcycles, especially Japanese bikes, this book is for you.

Motorcycle history must have,
This review is from: A Century of Japanese Motorcycles (Hardcover)
The information in this book is amazing. To find out how far back the Japanese Motorcycle industry goes was new to me. Finally a motorcycle history book that isn't about Harley's.
