Superb collection capturing essence of jazz,

This is a superb 3-disc overview of jazz in the last hundered years. Whoever made the selections had an excellent ear for a compilation to capture the essence of big bands, vocalists and soloists at their best. A wonderful historical introduction for the uninitiated in America's classical music. You won't be sorry.
