It was only $32 when I bought it on Amazon.
A major point not noted in the instructions is that the motors in this boat only run when the boat is in the water (safety issue I presume).
Other than that, it's fairly high quality, quite durable (survives head-on crashes into the side of a swimming pool at full speed), and runs for about 15 minutes on a charge if you use the throttle modestly. And yes, this thing hauls !

I bought this toy boat for when my wife and I have our grandson (six) and granddaughter (four) over. When I received it I put it in our pool and found out two things: 1st. It is not for a child that young (of course it indicates that on the box but I didn't beleive it) 2nd. It should not be used in a pool...it is too fast. I hit the gunite wall with it at a slight angle and it held together! But I'm not sure how much more of that abuse it could take (it may not be suitable fo grandpas either). I have no regrets. It just needs to be in a larger body of water such as a stock pond or lake.

Item arrived broken from seller (both propeller and rudder). Have other RC boats, and often they are rather 'cheap' plastic. But this is definitely poor quality plastic and construction.

Also, although the online description does not say this, the boat is not 'full function'. After reviewing the product, it does not go in reverse, making it rather useless in a swimming pool when it gets stuck in corners.

Very disappointed.

I bought this for my 9 years old son. He has a lot of fun with it. The boat is pretty fast, and the battery's charge last for a over 20 minutes, which can deliver tons of fun. The size and the shape is is really nice and the price is absolutely right.

Overall this is a good boat. The power is very good. It is lacking a reverse for close manuvering, but it goes forward very fast. Definitely a pond boat. It is confusing in that the warning that the boat will not function out of the water is only found on the small label inside the hull, not in the instruction sheet. I thought that perhaps something was wrong until I found the "small print" on the inside of the hull.

This is the best $40 I have spent on my son for a while.
This boat is very fast (not good for pool), but great on a pond.
As the battery starts to run down, the motors go into a pulse mode that allows you to bring the boat back to you before it runs completely out. I also like that the top deck comes off so you can dry it out after use.

It is great fun; you and your kids won't be disappointed with this one.

I bought this for a mate and he is very happy with it. Says it goes fast and is a lot of fun.

I received this a day ago and charged the battery. I put new batteries in the controller. I turned it on, and the LED for the boat never went on. My dad fiddled with it a bit, and we checked the charge on the batteries, but nothing. Unfortunately, I am returning it. I was looking forward to this, but I'll be spending my money elsewhere.

This was lots of fun for my son on the lake and had a good range. But the propellers came off easily.

The boat looks nice and runs well for a short distance out. Once we get about 50 yards out it starts shutting off. The antenna for the boat is just a wire that comes out and apparently just dangles off the side into the water. I think its missing a hard piece of wire that my sons boat has (which you can faintly see in the main picture for this product on the advertisement picture), and this is severely hampering the distance. My son has a similar boat and can control it as far as he can see. There is no contact info for the seller, so I am writing here. Either the seller will send me the replacement piece or you guys will avoid buying it because it may come missing parts.
