First off, you would be ordering this for the bag mainly, and YES, it's a great heavy bag. I've been banging away on it for more than a month now and I'm loving it. Now about those gloves and the "dvd"... yeah.. you can skip those. The dvd is a really bad transfer from an old VHS. It didn't even have cover art or cover art on the dvd case. Someone just burned a dvd and tossed it in a blank case. And the gloves were pretty poor. I went out and bought some proper Century MMA gloves.

Don't get me wrong. I HIGHLY recommend Century heavy bags, it's just that this set system misses the mark. The dvd wasn't really worth the price of admission and I needed to buy my own gloves.

This bag works much better than a heavy bag. The heavy bag will sway back and forth and you have to stabilize it whereas this stays in place for the most part.

It is sturdy and the striking surface is made of a sturdy foam material as opposed to the heavy bag which has something else that settles to the bottom of the bag.

The instructional DVD did not come with a cover but it was instructional to me as a novice on how to throw punches, combinations and kicks and also how to use the wavemaster.

I would recommend this over a heavy bag.

I got the this through Warehouse Deals by Amazon.com... Lucked out because it was only 1. It's GREAT.. I love it. It's sturdy and gives me a nice closeout to my 40 minute treadmill work out.. I use the bag for about 15 mins. It's good.. The only issue I had, which Amazon.com resolved with just a simple phone call was that the DVD, gloves and bag were missing in the box. The description indicated that they were included. Amazon gave me a discount to compensate for the missing items.

This is not a bag to punch or kick at full force. I use it to finish off my 1 hour daily work out... I currently have the base filled with water, I'm considering switching to sand...

PROS: Great price, sturdy, good resistance, multiple levels of height adjustments,
CONS: slides a bit when punched or kicked too hard. It doesn't slide more than 1/2" or so when I'm punching. I don't want to kill it, I just want endurance...

I received my Century Super X Wavemaster Stand Heavy Bag but the bag gloves and workout DVD were not included. I looked everywhere but they just were not there. As far as the bag.... I love it!!! Just wish I had all that I paid for.

I understand that with this bag, you're not supposed to hit it or kick it at full force. But even with jabbing it, this thing moves a ridiculous amount.

I have this setup in my garage and either with the base filled up with water or with it filled up with sand, this thing moved every time I threw a hook or a jab. Throwing jab and cross combinations, this bag slides all over the place, and then I have to stop my workout to move it back again. How ANNOYING! If you really want to throw leather, forget about it. You'll get a few punches in before you have to move it again.

So I put some textured mats down on the garage floor. No dice. The damn thing kept moving and eventually slipped right off the mat.

To make a long story short, I've got the bag up against a wall, and since it still slides from side to side, it's practically useless for any period of time.

I like the concept and I like the feel of hitting it, but I hate how this damn thing moves around all the time. 1 star because it's collecting dust, and a source of frustration every time I give it one more chance. If it were a heavy bag chained to a beam in the garage, it would be used often.

We have no complaints, this is a good value and a nice set up for the money, we are enjoying it!

Had to buy different gloves but heavy bag is nice and it's worth the money, IMHO.
