My 3 year-old son developed a fear of the dark which made bed time very difficult. Nightlights only created more shadows and more fear. We decided to give this bear a try 6 weeks ago. It worked wonders and he wouldn't go into any dark room without it. But last night, when I clicked the button, it flashed a quick light and wouldn't turn on again. I replaced the batteries, but that didn't work. I assume the bulb burned out, since it was the same flash effect that lamps have when those bulbs burn out. I love the concept of this toy, but the stamina quality is terrible.

We purchased a similar bear when we started our adoption process. When we finally had our daughter in hand, she LOVED her bear. Unfortunately, she figured pretty quickly how easy it was to turn off and on, and the switch couldn't seem to take the workload. After fruitless searching at walk-in stores, we located this online. This bear is smaller than the original (great for traveling) but we're holding our breath waiting for the switch to go.

We bought this for my daughter for Christmas and it stopped working after about 5 weeks. It seems to be the click pad in the paw. I wish I could find the receipt.
