when we gave it to my nephew he opened it right away only to discover a robot was broken, further examination revealed a broken internal solder. I fixed it for him but could have been a big disappointment. also, the heads are too difficult to knock off.

I can see why this toy is now discounted from its retail price of $[...]. We bought this for our son, and they were a BIG disapointment!

1) The control stick is not great - instead of a joystick or dial, its two wheels that you must press with both thumbs to go forward, and 1 formard/1back to turn.
2) They dont turn well at all.
3) The punching is slow, and NOT independently controlled for each arm. In other words, you push one button down, and the arms do a slow back an forth punching motion
4) As stated before, the heads are quite difficult to knock off.
5) Since we opened them, and they are considered 'electronics', we are STUCK with them now - a WASTE of money....

There was an unbeatable deal on the 2 pack of B2B Bots last year and my son wanted them for Christmas we bought them and these are like Rock-Em Sock-Em robots on remote control cars. They are fun, they attack each other and they taunt and jest at each other.

The one thing that makes these not as fun as they could be is that they swing their arms very weakly, their arms can get stuck in the out position and need to be adjusted so they can go back to swinging, they also take forever to pop each other's tops off because they have so little strength to their blows.

Both robots have sensored area's on the sides of their heads where about 5 taps causes them to pop their tops off (like sockem robots popping their heads up) but the hits from the motorized robots don't seem strong enough to trigger it often enough.

I am going to try putting in more powerful batteries instead of the default ones that came with the robots to see if they perform better.

Our son saw this on TV. We could not believe the price but justified the discount price on Amazon. The item arrived the day before Christmas (thanks Amazon & UPS!).

One of the robots did not work at all, we changed the batteries and still no go. The other one was hard to control and not much fun.

This is one of those expensive toys your kids will use for a day and end up in a toybox.

I got these for my nephew for Christmas (he's 4). They looked really cool and the price was great. He unwrapped them on Christmas day to find one that didn't work at all, and the one that does work is hard to use.

Pros:
None really, I gave my nephew a busted toy for Christmas.

Cons:
One was busted!
The remote has a ~4 foot range so you have to constantly walk behind.
The punching is slow.

This is all I can review for these things since I never got to actually "battle" with them.

Don't waste your time or money on these...

I bought this toy for my eleven years old son... His birthday will be in the next 24th august ... but i decided to gave him an early gift, terrible mistake, the blue toy is not WORKING... we change batteries, follow all the instructions but nothing...

Bought this toy for my grandson for his XMas present - one of the robots did not work out of the box and the other stopped working within 2 days. Expensive toy for little value and my grandson son's XMas was ruined and can never get back. Had to order another toy to make up the for the broken one. Would not recommend this toy.

I loved the concept of the B2B Bots. I bought my son a set of them and he had them rolling around the carpet right away. They roll fast but punch slowly. Our biggest problem with these bots is they died out very quickly. My children did not get the chance to play with them long. One bot lost his head and it wouldn't go back on. The other bot wouldn't respond when his head was punched and his head wouldn't fall off. Basically, they were unplayable after only a few days.

Great toy for a great price. You have to wrestle the two bots against each other -so much fun! It is very loud and your thumbs gets tired fast, but boys expecailly like this toy because it is like chasing eachother. This is a great toy even around pets. Very simple to use and easy to play. I would reccommend this toy to ages 5-12.

After reading the directions and the trouble shooting paperwork, we now know how they work. The chattering noise that you hear is the automatic clutch. You have to hit the side buttons 8 times before the head pops off. Or tip the robot over! Use on smooth surfaces, not carpet. It does take time to learn how to control these little guys. After a while it gets easier. They are pretty durable.
