5.0 out of 5 stars Great product
This was recommended to me by my dermatologist and has worked wonders. I am probably the most extreme case when it comes to dry/temperamental skin and this stuff meets the challenge of quenching my skin's thirst for moisture. For those of you who wonder if this stuff will work for you, let me tell you about my case:

3.0 out of 5 stars Try the CREAM CeraVe instead if your skin is dry
This is good for someone who has sensitive skin (non-irritating). Though it quenches dry skin immediately, within 10 minutes or so you need to apply more to attain the "just moisturized feeling." When I did this a few times I noticed a slightly gritty build-up; I personally prefer the CeraVe Cream.

Where I live, the wind chill is often below 0 and temperatures are usually in the teens during winter. I live and work in an environment with electricity-based heating, which means extremely dry air if you didn't already know. I bathe more frequently than the average person due to being an athlete (excessive bathing is also bad for the skin). And to top it off, my skin is already extremely sensitive to any kind of irritation to begin with.

My dermatologist confirmed that this product may be used on both the face and body. I have been using it this way for about 6 months now and I have seem dramatic improvements in the condition of my skin. It should also be noted that my skin is extremely prone to break out and the use of this product has resulted in startling improvements in the quality and clarity of my skin considering I am not using any other treatment. I would buy this stuff by the gallon if I could.

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally found the one!, July 4, 2007

I've struggled with my 4 year old's eczema for most of his life. My pediatrian finally recommended this lotion. After only a few aplications his skin is clear, softer and smoother then it has been ever. It absorbs quickly and leaves no stickness and has next to no fragrance so he doesn't mind being slathered up. I only use it after his bath a couple of times a week and his skin has stayed clear and smooth. Occasionally I've used it on my 7 month old and it works great for him too eventhough he doesn't have skin problems...yet. I've tried it on myself for my skin conditions especially my hands and it hasn't worked quite as well. I think with the frequent washing of my hands I need something more emoilent. I am thinking of trying the CeraVe cream for myself it may work better for more frequently washed super dry skin.

5.0 out of 5 stars Provided relief for my eczema and dry itchy winter skin, February 15, 2009
This review is from: CeraVe Lotion, Moisturizing, 12 oz. (Misc.)
This winter, my arms and legs have been very itchy and rashy due to dry skin and eczema. I tried the sample of CeraVe lotion and cleanser provided by my dermatologist and was happy with the non greasy texture and how nicely the lotion is absorbed in to the skin. I purchased the regular sized CeraVe skin cleanser and moisturizing lotion and have experienced relief from my itchy rashy skin condition after just a couple of days. The lotion is light weight and unscented. I noticed that one of the ingredients is hyaluronic acid which is used in an excellent facial moisturizer that I have had good luck with keeping my face well hydrated in the winter. I find the CeraVe products well priced given the quality ingredients and results. I'm very pleased with the two CeraVe products that I've tried. For people with ultra dry skin or that like a heavier product, the CeraVe cream may be a better option.

5.0 out of 5 stars Dermatologist recommended, can't live without it now, March 9, 2009

I have oily skin and adult acne, and my dermatologist recommended this for my face when I need a moisturizer (so unfair to have to worry about wrinkles and acne at the same time!) I love it and now use it for hands and body as well. It's light and soaks right in and makes skin feel soft and comfortable, not slick. Nothing else works quite as well. I wish it were easier to find, drugstore no longer seems to carry it.

5.0 out of 5 stars good stuff, December 17, 2009
This review is from: CeraVe Lotion, Moisturizing, 12 oz. (Misc.)
This is one of the products that is sold Stateside that they don't have in the UK. Right before I moved here, a friend of mine had a wad of samples that she gave me. We just ran out and my husband panicked, since it is the only thing that works for him, so I am having some sent to his sister. Probably the best moisturizer I've used, and I've used quite a few. It's a good base for makeup too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Moisturizer I've Ever Used - I have sensitive, acne proned skin, November 8, 2010
This review is from: CeraVe Lotion, Moisturizing, 12 oz. (Misc.)
I went through a decade of various skin care combinations recommended by various dermatologists with the goal of treating acne and dry, flaky patches in winter. Finally, I have clear skin with no dryness, thanks in part to CeraVe. It doesn't feel like a typical moisturizer... it's very light, and not at all oily. Per my dermatologist, I apply it at night, and layer prescription treatment on top. In the am, I use a regular moisturizer with SPF.

I always prefer to use botanical cosmetics when possible, but waive that ethic when it comes to CeraVe. It's more successful than any other that I've tried. My sister loves it as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect facial moisturizer!, January 29, 2011
This review is from: CeraVe Lotion, Moisturizing, 12 oz. (Misc.)
My derm. recommended this along with the Cerave facial cleanser for my sensitive combination skin. I love that this stuff moisturizes my dry skin but isn't greasy feeling or thick. Its so light and clean feeling and has never caused any irritation, which some other 'sensitive' lotions have. I actually think it's helped even out my skin to one balanced happy moisturized medium from forehead to chin! I'd recommend this to anyone who wants soft, perfectly moisturized skin and don't shy away if you've got an oily prone T-zone like me.

CeraVe Cream is far superior and leaves your skin soft, NOT greasy (notice this is lotion, and so far they only sell cream in a tub or 2 oz. tube - not in a pump). I have severe skin problems and use prescription medications under the Cereve Cream, I apply the cream, then I use a barrier cream called Tetrix (made by Coria, the makers of CeraVe). If you have problems with your hands I highly recommend you speak to your physician about Tetrix. It has been a lifesaver. The CeraVe cream has also been wonderful.

I've been using this stuff for a long time for daily face moisturizing. It doesn't leave a sticky film like ALL other lotions I've tried, no strong odor or anything, although the subtle smell isn't exactly great, but it's not terrible either. It really is an amazing lotion that lives up to all the hype. This price is by far the best price you will find anywhere. I bought a single bottle online for more than these two bottles together, I'm not sure how they get it so cheap but keep it coming!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for sensitive skin shaving!, August 8, 2010

This review is from: CeraVe Lotion, Moisturizing, 12 oz. (Misc.)
I have very sensitive skin and shaving is an issue for me with most products.
I use a small amount of CeraVe massaged into my face, then splash with water to "loosen" it a bit, then shave.
Clean, no fragrance, no irritation, no greasy feel.
Love it!
