Ceramic Coffee Travel Mugs - Black Ceramic Mug

The great thing about this mug is that when you drink out of it, it is not the plastic lid but the ceramic cup itself that touches your mouth. That's rare, and very welcome. I truly dislike the taste and feel of plastic when I'm drinking good coffee, the great beverage of the world.

No, the lid is not airtight (as one other reviewer complained), but it doesn't need to be. I don't know about most of the rest of you, but I don't turn my travel mug upside down or swing it around to the beat of the classical music on my car radio when there's coffee in it!

The lid is a plastic disk that fits into the indented area you see near the top of the mug; then you turn it to secure it. The disk has a little half-moon cut out of it to allow the coffee to come out.

It's true that the ceramic could be slightly sturdier, though that hasn't been a problem for me. But the design is simple, even elegant, and let's you drink out of a real cup when you're traveling.

The ceramic is slightly cheap and the lid doesn't fit properly so it's kind of pointless because it is a travel mug! The cobalt blue is a nice colour. I bought another mug through Creative Ventures through Amazon and it was cheaper and the quality was much better.

The black cup is unique and eye catching but the lid is not airtight and therefore leaks and does not keep the liquids hot. I still think it looks cool!

Mug is just okay. The lid is flimsy and has a tendency to pop out, not a good fit. This can be a real hassle if it happens on your way to work. Also the mug has a foam rubber ring glued to the bottom which will come off after a few runs through an ordinary dishwasher. I do not recommend this item.
