The grinder worked like a champ and I was well pleased for about two months,(except that it would not grind very coarse, as in cracked pepper) and then the whole plastic grinder assembly fell out. The assembly is only held together by three small plastic arms. Destined for failure.
It made it through one and a half grinder bottles of peppercorns and gave up the ghost.
You are better off buying a mallet and a pillowcase for crushing pepper.
I now have a small $15 wine glass. ( But it will not tip over.)
Very poor product.
