5.0 out of 5 stars Informative overview on the marriage of print and clay.
Paul Scott Takes you through the historical and contemporary uses of print and clay. Very little has been written about the unusual marriage between print and clay. The book is written in an easy to follow dialogue that explains the processes involved and includes many color photographs. I recommend the book to anyone interested ceramics and imagery.

I took this book's description to mean it provides detailed instructions for various ceramic print techniques. I was therefore disappointed to find that it gives little more than an overview of each procedure. For example, in the screen printing chapter, the author mentions that Photoshop can be used to create halftone positives. But rather than provide a tutorial on the procedure, the author points readers to a better book on the subject.

I give the book three stars because it has an excellent glossary, health and safety information, and a decent list of ceramic and print suppliers. However, readers in search of a detailed ceramic print instruction book should look elsewhere.
