When I think of the origins of Green Jelly (Jello), I think of some metal-heads who decided they would have the most fun as a band if they tried to be as stupid as possible. I mean that in a good way. A glance at the album cover should tip you off. Musically these guys are fairly competent, and come off as a decent alt/punk/metal act, (think Gwar or The Dwarves). However, it's lyrically that these guys let loose, and make their name. I'd imagine Beavis and Butthead would love this band. Truthfully alot of it is pretty funny, and they're probably rather smart to sound so not. I have to admit, I only play this disc once a year at most, but I'm glad it's there when I need that fix.

This album is great...but, i would opt for the video...this was originally supposed to be an all video band...and the video has a lot more to the songs then on the c.d. They are kind of G.W.A.R.-ish, but not really...(a gwar member appears in the video!)...but, in all, the cd is okay...but if you can, i'd opt for the video instead...the only problem with this is if you can, find the original of it when they were called green jello...after they were forced to change their name, they also had to change some of the songs (i.e. Cereal Killer).

Okay, so maybe they aren't the most talented band.. but it's great stuff. Funny, entertaining, a little variety. So if any of that interests you, pick it up, you can't be too disappointed (just don't let the little ones listen to it)

Oh the brilliance. This album has quietly etched itself a spot in the hearts of all rock n rollers. When they first attacked our visual and auditory senses on MTV with 'Three Little Pigs' we all knew that this band was worthy of being checked out. And right we were.WHo else could take the Sex Pistols' "Anarchy in the UK" and turn it into a Yabba-Dabbo-doo Flinstone's Theme song? Brilliant I say again. Of course this album can be played the whole way through without hitting the >> button once. Who can deny themselves of driving down the highway while screaming out "It's Poo poo! Poo poo! Poo Poo! I got poo poo on my shoe!" Yes we all remember singing this driving 90 MPH down I-75. Good ol' trailer trash metal I call this. And you know what? There are thousands of bands making music like this everyday. Just checkout sites like SOundclick.com and Garageband.com. There are some really sick, crazy people out there (My self included. I am lead singer and guitarist for The Buttplugs). We can thank Green Jello for starting this wave of mass stupidity and foresight. This is the band that revolutionized the home recording studio. Inde musicians everywhere must bow to the brilliance (I say it again) of this band for opening the doors for all the lunatics. Green Jello may have been the first 'Video Only' band, but they are far from the last. I just want to say on behalf of all guitar playing perverts........Thank you Green Jello.

Rock and Roll Pumpkin (say it again!),

I loved this CD, and after I heard it at a freind's house I had to go and get it! With songs like Obey the Cow God, and Anarchy in Bedrock (a tribute to the original by The Sex Pistols), it also has an old fairy tale with a new twist. There really is no way to describe Green Jello to someone who has not heard it. I have never seen the movie this soundtrack goes to, but if the music is any indication it should be a blast! Besides where else can you find a song like Green Jello ...? Get it while you can, because it is dissapearing from stores.

If you enjoy primus, then you will love the cereal killer soundtrack. For a band who started to get into bars free, and for a while they played differant songs every show so people wouldn't notice if they played it wrong, green jelly hit the jackpot, with songs like "The Three Little Pigs", "Cereal Killer", and "Rock 'N' Roll Pumpkin" you can't go wrong. I highly suggest you buying this cd.

Very stupid, silly, but very funny.,

Green Jelly has only made 2 CD recordings, but they are good ones. This is thier first one of two. The music is hard punk rock, and will offend some. (Track 9 has a lot of graphically explicit sexual lyrics.) This CD does not have a parental advisory. So read this and you will know that this is not for kids.

This Is a good CD, I love their humorous and witty songs. This CD is their best, but if you like Green Jelly check out 333 too. My favorite songs are The three little pigs(a modern, hipper, more adult version of the classic childen's story)and Anarchy in the UK(which should be called Anarchy in bedrock, because it's about fred flintstone)this song is a funny version of the Sex Pistols'song. I love this CD I hope this band comes out with more CD's.

Cute, but tedious,

Ok, I'll admit it. I got this one purely for the fact that I saw the video for "Three Little Pigs" just like everyone else did. And again, like everyone else, I laughed my head off. I also enjoy crunching power-chords as well. The kind that sound as if they're being beaten on with a hammer. This is good, because this album has a LOT of them. Personally, I think this should have been released as a DVD instead of CD, but that's my opinion. Perhaps one of those "Enhanced CD" releases. We certainly seem to have the technology to do it. Beware, though, that this album should only be listened to on certain occasions, and then only in small doses. Burn-out on this album is high, and testimony to this is the layers of dust it has sitting in my CD collection.
