5.0 out of 5 stars Crazy!, May 30, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Cereal Killer [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I gave this five stars because it's one of the nuttiest band video compilations ever made. Inspired by Gwar, Green Jelly (formerly Green Jello) came into mainstream America with the Mtv release of the popular Three Little Pigs video. They capitolized on the fact that musically speaking, they had no talent. Instead they focused their attention on the cheaply made paper mache and latex-covered couch cushion costumes that made up their silly videos, often parodying other bands or name brand products. It was this blatant copyright infringement that saw them on the defendant stand for many lawsuits, most notably, Kraft, who sued over the Jello name. They were also sued for the use of various cereal mascots (who are comically killed).
While their later releases failed to keep them in the spotlight, Green Jelly faded away leaving us with this this fantastically goofy video. The early releases with the Green Jello name and Cereal Killer uncut video are now quite collectable.

4.0 out of 5 stars GREEN JELLY WHERE ARE YOU?, October 10, 2003

BERT MASA (Effingham,IL) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Cereal Killer [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Cereal Killer is very likeable from the very first viewing. It has everything the demented "Metal Head" would like to see and hear. The videos are creative, funny and at times a little sick! Backed by "Hard Rockin" music, Green Jelly (formerly Green Jello;Sued for using the "JELLO" name)Outdid themselves and would like to say to the band You are a talented bunch, Come Back!!!
(PS the two girls in the music videos are hot, hot hot!!!)

4.0 out of 5 stars GREEN JELLO SUX, December 17, 2005

Great rock video for the demented populace. Sex, drugs, rock and roll. Mind warping, disgusting, visionary, mediocre. Parodies. Should be viewed lightheartedly. Has something to entertain everyone?
