I used this book to help with a project I was doing on the I'n-Lon-Schka ceremony. I have been fortunate to have more of a first hand knowledge of this ceremony, but never really asked my family why this was done or why some did this and others did that during the ceremony. Callahan's connection and knowledge cleared things up and was even useful for my father who gives presentations on the Osage. In fact, he has yet to give the book back! If you know nothing about this dance ceremony or have former knowledge, this is the perfect book!
