The guided journey Dr. Berlin brings the listener in the Ceremony of the Cave is a very powerful tool which will create an opportunity to turn inward for cleansing, offering, healing and manifesting. The message and journey for me is one of contemplation, healing, and manifesting in a newly cleared heart space. To some the metaphor may be subtle, yet do not let this deceive you..the process of offering to the fire, cleansing with the metaphor of water, and then communing and communication with spirit, is a time honored methodology of sacredness, both in how one renews and receives. The guided journey Jan leads is one that proved very powerful to me in my use of this program. In daily regimens and relationship, when it is hard to find times for ourselves, this journey was relaxing, rewarding, and refreshing. The beauty of the message is that there is no limit to how often you can visit the cave, as each time is unique and different in what you bring with your intentions. It can be what you make it, and with guided imagery and visualization, the power imbedded in the ceremony of the cave reflects the powerful intentions of each individual creator. With repeated use, you will understand there is no limit to what you can heal, cleanse and give, not only for youself but for others as well.

I find it is hard to find this type of assistance in the music, self-help marketplace, which is why I give this spiritual aide very high marks.

Before listening to The Ceremony of the Cave, I had never experienced a guided imagery journey before. It was one of the most uplifting, relaxing and memorable experiences I have ever had and will continue to have. I met with spiritual mentors that gave me words of wisdom and opened my mind on ways to improve my life. I discovered powerful icons that gave me a deep sense of inner strength and empowerment. During this journey, I felt like I was able to cleanse my spirit and heal my heart to feel renewed and revitalized. This journey also allowed me to tap into my spiritual energies and creative resources. After each journey I embark upon, I feel creatively inspired to pursue my passions (e.g. writing) with a fresh, new outlook.

Dr. Berlin's voice is wonderfully soothing, relaxing and very comforting. I loved this CD so much that I shared it with my family. After listening to the CD together, we compared our journeys, which added a completely new and delightful dimension to the experience. This CD is the best gift you could possibly give to yourself and to others.

Entering into the world of imagery can be a powerful and fascinating experience. In Dr. Jan Berlin's "The Ceremony of the Cave" Guided imagery CD, you are taken deep inside the caverns of your mind. It is here where Dr. Berlin guides you into a world of magical and empowering experiences. Each time you listen to "The Ceremony of the Cave," there is a different journey to take.

It is like a magic carpet ride through the sub-conscious mind, where you can explore your own inner- wonders.

It was powerful for me because it allowed me to drop all that was tangible and all that was material at the foot of the cave. As I entered this sacred space I was free of weight, free of judgment, and free of the stresses in life. As I said before, each time I listen to the Imagery there is a different experiences. Sometimes I experienced powerful "Wise people" who guided me and taught me about my own inner-knowledge. In other experiences, I am drenched with vivid colors and images. I may experience being inside a rainbow colored waterfall and begin to understand the concept of beauty and fluidity. I may become a black panther and experience her stellar strength and keen sense of sight. Whatever image I am taken to teaches me a deeper aspect of who I am .

Dr. Jan Berlin's "Ceremony of the Cave" is a powerful tool to unlock your own wisdom. It is perfect for anyone wanting to relax, find their inner-truths, discover their world of creativity, or just have a place of beauty to escape to for an hour of their day.

This is just stunning! It is so powerful, that I only can use it once in awhile - when I really "need" it. I would love to schedule a few therapy sessions with Dr. Berlin, but I don't think I really have to anymore! If he sells too many of these in Southern California, he will work his way out of business!

The brief introduction was helpful, in that I had not taken this type of journey before. But now I'm hooked! Dr. Berlin's soothing voice is perfect in bringing you to a level that allows you to really experience your journey. I have purchased some of his other DVDs, and have found that the more recent ones, with the music, provide an extra added dimension that make the journey even more special! And his new Gateways to the Heart brings a whole other dimension to my journeys! Keep 'em coming!

Although the gentle intention is evident in Dr. Berlin's voice, I was one of those who found the quality distracting. He has a sing-songy delivery so overtly soothing that it had the reverse effect on me. I would have preferred he use the more natural voice heard in his intro for the imagery section as well. (I did think his intro on track two was effective for people not used to imagery and not too long, although I could have done without the promo on the first track.) No music is better than bad music, so the lack of accompaniment did not bother me. A number of people really like Berlin's voice and message, so if there are still no sound samples available at Amazon at the time you are considering this CD, trot on over to CD Baby and listen to the their samples for this and other offerings from Berlin. Unfortunately, you won't really get into much imagery, as the intros are long, but you'll be able to tell if you like his voice and style or not. I also, like another reviewer, found the constant reassurances distracting and rather infantilizing, and I disliked much of the vocabulary used, hitting on many buzzwords of new age self-examination ("manifesting," etc.). These caveats aside, the imagery of the visualization is decent, with the listener progressing into different chambers of a cave and encountering different visions and experiences in each one. There is enough space in the meditation to allow your mind to work, and I did get some spontaneous images and insights while following the meditation. The elements were a bit more rote and not as imaginative as I was hoping for, but my expectations may be too high. I am very drawn to the symbol of the cave and keep looking for a great cave meditation I have yet to find--probably dreaming of Ishi's cave, Merlin's cave, Plato's cave and the caves of Lascaux all rolled into one!

The Ceremony of the Cave was, by far, the best guided imagery CD I've listened to! I was very grateful for the brief explanation at the beginning of the CD, reminding me to turn off my phone and to designate this special time to myself. If it weren't for that reminder, my journey would have been interupted, so thank you for that! I loved this CD as much as The Soul of Gratitude. Thank you for these lifechanging gifts for my body, mind and spirit.

I listen to The Ceremony of the Cave between three and five times per week, and with each journey, I reach new levels of healing, clarity and inner peace. I cannot say enough about this powerful and beautiful CD. It has definitely changed my life in ways that I didn't even know were possible.

In listening to The Ceremony of the Cave, I experienced it as a healing journey into myself. Knowledge and feelings that were not immediately accessible became clearer and gave me a deeper understanding concerning some issues that I had been working on. The gentleness and sense of caring that I felt on the CD by Dr. Berlin contributed to my willingness to participate in the adventure and enabled me to bring to awareness thoughts I otherwise may not have encountered. I found this a useful tool for both stress reduction and self knowledge and would highly recommend it to anyone seeking greater awareness. I also think it would be an excellent adjunctive tool for therapists to use with their clients.

I was expecting a little more. I think too much time was spent on introduction and very little time on guided imagery. This CD should've been titled, "Introduction to Guided Imagery" for those who don't have a clue about guided imagery. But if you already have a clue, then you should try a different CD.
