5.0 out of 5 stars SCRIPTURELY ACCURATE
The traditional ceremony (in sickness/health, richer/poorer, better/worse etc.) is 50% BAD NEWS! This is NOT God's best. If you want to start your marriage on the Word of God and not the world's idea then this is for you. It is a beautiful ceremony and very moving. 5.0 out of 5 stars Recommended by my Pastor, January 27, 2005

This review is from: A Ceremony of Marriage (Paperback)
This book was recommended to me by the Pastor officiating my wedding. He claimed the same thing that the Amazon user, "allysond", reviewed as well on this book. He told me that the "traditional" or "modern" vows used today with "better/poorer", "sickness/health", etc. were not as greatly worded as the Bible would intend. Kenneth Copeland gives a ceremony that reaches more into Christian beliefs and keeps God in the ceremony more so than the modern vows seem to do. I am happy to say that we will be using this book as our guide when saying our vows in our upcoming wedding!

5.0 out of 5 stars Marriage vows for a Christian and saved Couple, July 16, 2011
This review is from: A Ceremony of Marriage (Paperback)
I was at a wedding today and the minister who preformed the ceremony used this book.I was blessed by the way it was laid out and it's contents.I thought the minister had wrote it for this couple seeing that they were from His church, but that was not the case. The wording was complete with scriptures and verses with wisdom.I highly recommend this book to all who will be performing a marriage for saved couples, for we understand that everyone that gets married is not saved.

This is the perfect book for such an occasion.Beautiful.....

5.0 out of 5 stars Favorite Ceremony, September 19, 2007
This review is from: A Ceremony of Marriage (Paperback)
This is my favorite ceremony of all time! It really has nothing to do with Copeland's theology or the "50%" negativity of traditional vows. It's the fact that it is absolutely laced with the gospel. It's a great door opener for family members to share the gospel with lost loved ones after the wedding has concluded.

Every time i do a wedding with this ceremony i have at least 3-4 people come up afterwards and tell me how shocked (and pleased) they are with it. Most of these folks go to churches that would call Copeland a heretic.

It's cheap, too. Buy one of the used copies and see for yourself. If you like it, you can get more.

3.0 out of 5 stars In search of something less religious., March 29, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: A Ceremony of Marriage (Paperback)
The ceremony is non-denominational with very heavy emphasis on God and Jesus. Preferred would be a ceremony that can emphasise love and mutual respect without so much reliance on religious references.
