Don't be so harsh, November 16, 2001

Yeah, you can definately see the magnetic fields references coming, but they really are a great band. Some of their songs musically are definately in the same caliber as mf. Don't pass off this band though...they're fabulous!

80s fans, pay attention!, November 1, 1999

From song to song on this CD, I'm hearing echoes of Tears for Fears, The The, The Smiths, and a number of other influences. If you're a fan of classic 80s alternative music, give it a listen! It's all the more impressive considering the band's not even from the UK.

80s been there done that, December 12, 1999

I heard this CD played on a local college station and went out immediately to buy it. My first impression was that it was a very mellow 80s band. Kind of sounds like the Church and the Magnetic Fields. The big difference between this band and the other two mentioned above is that Vitesse comes up a little short in the long run.

something i'm glad to have and enjoy an infrequent listen to, though it never seems to shake the magnetic fields influence. not on a single song. and it's a little more than an influence as a source. the magnetic fields.
