Jobim Recorded this album immediately after finishing another recording session with Frank Sinatra called; "Francis Albert Sinatra / Antonio Carlos Jobim" a definite 5 star album.

In "A certain Mr. Jobim" ACJ delivers a perfect relaxing Bossa Nova Brazilian Jazz album with himself on vocals; A Spine chilling romantic recording that deserves a good glass of wine and a relaxing romantic evening.

Not his best recording but well worth being in everyone's Bossa Nova music collection

At approx. 25 minutes, this may be the shortest CD in my collection. A mix of very familiar with less familiar Jobim compositions enveloped in lush Claus Ogerman arrangements. Sidemen include Dom Um Romao and Dick Hyman. Good easy listening.

I got this CD as a gift from a friend of mine whom was living in France almost 10 years ago and I just loved it!!!! It was stolen and I missed it so much I just HAD TO buy it again.

It is every bit as wonderful as the first time I heard it. The combination of Sinatra and Jobim is simply sublime. I can only use so much words to describe it. This CD is worth every penny. Jobim was and continues to be to this day, a National Treasure of Brazil, Sinatra was after all of the original brat pack and indeed a Master on his own.

Like white bread and mayonnaise, this CD has no Brazilian flavor whatsoever. These songs are examples of Jobim works devoid of the essential Jobim. Don't waste your money.
