This review is from: A Certain Slant of Light (Babies & Bachelors USA: Michigan #22) (Mass Market Paperback)
Grace Brannigan Witoczynski is a single mom with 4 kids. Mal Quarrels is a a US marshal working undercover who needs to keep an eye on Grace's tenant. Grace is honest, tough, vulnerable, smart, believable. Mal is tough on the outside and good to the bone, totally unflappable ... except when it comes to Grace. The plot ties together pretty well; suspense is a relatively small part of the book but well done. The kids and dogs are well-drawn as well.
My only complaint is that I'm pretty certain that Grace's sister Alice Brannigan and her protective husband Gabriel Book were featured in a previous Ramin book, but I can't seem to find out which one! So I'm searching out the rest of her backlist. |
