The printing of the product is TERRIBLE. The last sections of the book have BLACK AND WHITE pictures of drugs, since when did drugs come in black and white??? They photocopied the last sections from some place and you can barely read them, DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK, I am asking the company for my money back, HAD i been able to see the inside of this book to see the terrible printing job I would have NEVER purchased it!!!!!

I took the CARN test earlier this year. I was nervous about how to prepare for the exam and thought this book would provide relevant information. The book offers a great review of substances and nursing-related interventions, but does not adequately prepare you for the exam. I would recommend reading this lightly, but don't use it as your only study guide. The best way to prepare is to do several multiple choice tests, especially case scenarios. Despite using this as my only guide, I did pass.

The sample test questions included many that were totally unrelated to Addictions Nursing (cardiology medications, anesthia medications, mental health case study questions, etc. In some cases the answers were inaccurate for even that question. Many of the study articles were outdated. The book was a desktop publication complilation of photocopied articles which included some pages whose graphics you couldn't read because it had been photocopied from a colored page that didn't work well with black and white copying.
