I wish I had opted to purchase a different item.

The charms themselves are nice with an open-backed setting that could potentially allow for backlighting under the right conditions. The problems that I personally have with this set are as follows:

The earring charms are set on the silver hooks in such a way that the charms run parallel to the side of one's head rather than perpendicular--so the suns cannot be seen when observed straight on. Since the amber cannot be backlit in this configuration they appear rather dark instead of illuminated. This is very disappointing...I'm contemplating trying to bend the hooks in some way so that the suns fall perpendicular to my face, as I think this will show-off the amber MUCH better.

The necklace chain doesn't match the style of charm very well. The charm is sort of antiqued and the chain is very bright. Also, the chain is too thin and fragile looking to go well with the thicker, "chunkiness" of the silver on the charm.

The seller's description is accurate and this set is acceptable for the price. But if you are looking for a stellar amber set I'd suggest considering another item.

Having worked in a jewelery store for two years I know good from bad from indifferent. Most of what I have seen on the Internet until now has been overpriced junk. Not this time, however. The earrings and pendant were good solid pieces my old place of business would have been happy to sell and the price was somewhere well south of what we could have sold it for.

I bought these thinking they would be somewhat sizable. I thought the pendant would be about the size of a quarter, and the earrings the size of a nickel, or thereabouts. However, they are all three quite small, and whenever amber is that tiny it is hard to see what stone it is in the first place. If you are looking for something dainty, this is for you. If you want it to be a decent size, keep looking.

I was excited when I bought this set, as I love amber and the design looked beautiful. Unfortunately, the earrings and the pendant are extremely uncomfortable to wear because the rays of the sun are so sharp. I have found myself passing over wearing them every time because of this. It's too bad because they are quite pretty, but now they're sitting unused in my jewelry box, useless.

Fast delivery and the quality of the items are just simply beautiful. I'm very pleased with the product and will certainly buy more in the future. The pendant and the earrings are so pretty; I'm glad that I ordered them.

All-in-all this set is quite beautiful, and well-made. It definately lit up my face with a smile when I opened up the gift wrap and saw these gorgeous glowing sunbursts! Also, they came with a "Genuine Amber Certificate" from Valerio which guarantees the quality and authenticity of the amber, with directions for care.

There is one tiny little flat spot on the stone within the left earring which is barely noticeable, also there are a lot more inclusions within this stone when compared to the right earring. The stones are translucent, open to the back, and shine with a beautiful orange glow when lit. I do not have any trouble getting the earrings to light up, since my ears face out at a 45-degree angle. Although, they do catch on my sweaters and scarves when I wear them together. The tips of the rays are quite sharp, owing to the thinness of the silver, and I wouldn't want to fall asleep while wearing these. Just like any other piece of jewelry, it is good to know when and how to wear them.

The pendant setting is 17mm diameter, stamp says 925; the loop which attaches the pendant to the chain is 9mm long, stamp says V-8; pendant setting and loop together measures 26mm tall. The stone within the pendant is 8mm diameter, and approximately 3mm to 4mm front to back with a rounded face. Chain is good quality and not meant to be temporary, bright silver tone, soldered links, squarish claw-type clasp, stamp says 925ITALY with logo.

Left earring setting is 19mm tall by 16mm wide, stamp says V-8 and 925; wire is 20mm tall, stamp says 925; total length of earring is 37mm. Stone is 8mm diameter, 3mm to 4mm front to back with a rounded face.

Right earring setting is 19mm tall by 16mm wide, stamp says V-8 and 925; wire is 20mm tall, stamp says 925; total length of earring is 36mm. Stone is 8mm diameter, 3mm to 4mm front to back with a rounded face.

The amber is lovely and the pendant is the perfect size for everyday wear, not too big to where it could be considered flashy, n not so small it won't be noticed.

I expected them to be tiny, but they are a nice size and are beautiful. I live in MT and shipping here is generally slow, but I ordered on a Friday and received them on the following Monday USPS. I am tickled. Thank you!

I loved this set! The earrings are great quality and have nice thick posts. I have purchased four things so far from this company and have not been disappointed.

This set is great for what ever season comes around. Not only are they beautiful but not a bad price either. I hope you like them as much as my mother and I do.
