Localally purchased organic wheatgrass seed is more expensive...but less expensive with the shiping...Although I have had better sprouting with the wheatgrass seed from living whole foods inc.
When buying from them direct the shipping is way more than Amazon

The product came in smaller packaged bags so that you wouldn't spill the entire bag in case it slipped. The seeds have grown very nicely and the cats seem to love them. Not sure how they taste - I haven't gotten that courage - but they look very healthy.

There were bugs in this product. I've grown wheatgrass from seeds for over 15 years. You can tell when you first fill the soaking jar w/water (to rinse them). Gently shake it back and forth and the bugs float to the top. If you bring a bug into your pantry it will lay eggs and you'll have bugs in all of you grains. I had to throw it away.

Bought this to grow for my cat. I have tasted the wheatgrass and, "...screw the cat." He will have to stand in line! The flavor is incredible! (Don't worry, DCI Barnaby (aka the cat), can have as much as he wants, I will share my bounty. Had no idea that wheatgrass was so delicious.... I am so glad I bought the ten-pound size. And as an apartment dweller, I am thrilled that I am actually growing something I eat....

The wheatgrass seeds were packaged in two pound bags which made it much easier to break them open and use compared to a ten pound bag. The seeds grow quickly and are easily harvested. We place the grass into a juicer and add it with various fruit. It makes a delicious and healthy snack!
