We have been looking for something to light up our steps at night and wanted to conserve energy. We found what we were looking for. These solar lights have a great radius of light, far more than we expected. We are going to buy more!!!

I have found so many solar lights that rarely last longer than a few hours after sunset. Here in Saint Louis at 5am I noticed my lights were still on from all night. Batteries are lasting longer than the average one. Well worth a few extra dollars. I will be ordering MORE of this exact same light since all the ones for $8 are dead in a couple hours. These are definitely BRIGHTER and longer lasting than many solar lights on the market. Worth the money.

The pair of wedge lights are great and perfect for our outdoor kitchen. These lights are one of the bigger sized wedges, and so much better than the smaller once. They are pretty bright too.

We've only had them a few days, but so far, they're exactly what we wanted. We have a cabin with a separate 'bunkhouse', so folks need to walk back and forth during the night and we prefer not to have our porch lights on to attract bugs & use power. These give plenty of light to see where you're walking, unlike most of the inexpensive solar lights. Also, the fact that they use replaceable rechargeable batteries should make them much longer lasting.

Another good feature is that they're easy to mount, and remove from the mounting bracket to take in when we're away (and they have a power switch, also a good idea so the battery doesn't completely drain when they're put away).

I have all types of solar lights in my front, side and backyards! My husband is always buying me new ones. I particulary like this style for brightening a pathway that is especially dark leading to a gate. The light spreads along the path and generally lasts all night. I would recommend these lights.

I am using around 12 of them for 8 months now. They look great along the fence. They create a cool feel of perimeter during the night. Lights work as suppose, dusk till dawn.

The LEDs lit up a wall surface of about 5x5 inches. No, they are not bright enough to lit up flowers, etc. They are not designed for it. They are however designed to be a guide around the steps or a wall, and they do that work well.

The rechargeable batteries supplied are the cheapest Ni-Cd for 600mAh. I recommend replacing them with any Lithium rechargeables, they will last much longer (6-8 hours as oppose to 2 hours).

I recommend sealing the back of the casing with a duct tape. Wherever the water can get inside - seal it.

Check same lights sold on *Bay, they may be a little cheaper there.

I live and work at the Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan. I ordered these lights because the service personnel on base would not repair our outdoor security light. These lights produce a low level brightness that is good in total dark, but also produces a lattice pattern which could be disruptive to the eye. Since we walk on wooden pallets between buildings, the pattern is hard to discern between the wooden slats in the pallets and the shadows cast by the lens on the product. This can create somewhat of an optical illusion at times. Had the front lens on the lights been patternless, these would have been perfect. I realize I am not using them exactly as intended, but sometimes we have to improvise, adapt, and overcome.

For home use I can see where they would be a wonderful, decorative pattern of light. They come on at night and shut off during daylight hours. Easy to install and I may take them home with me. Bur for our building, I need to find a different set of solar lights.

11/11/11 - Update. Today I find out that 5 of the 6 NiCd batteries are faulty and although they charge, they do not hold their charge. I have decided to lower the rating to 1 star just for the fact that yes, it is solar, but without good batteries, it becomes useless at night.

A disappointing purchase. These lights have the potential to help with navigating our walkway after dark, but only one works. The sturdy stainless steel construction is a plus, as the light has been outside year round in a tough winter climate, but I can't recommend a product that fails to function out of the box. A bad deal, overall.

I ordered the two-pack believing there were two lights in one pack, however, that was not the case; each light is individually packed in its own bag. No problem there, except the box does not provide adequate shipping protection. Again, no problem there; a merchant can easily select to place the two boxes in a larger box with adequate protection against shipping damage, but that did not happen in my case.

The two lights were placed in a post office mailing box just big enough for the two lights. Apparently the box was dropped (or just thrown); creating a dent on one of the lights, while twisting the front cover on the other. I managed to straighten the twisted cover and let the dent on the other light as is, but that could've been prevented by the merchant.

I must give the lights a four rating however because they work. The lights are not as bright as I would've liked, but emit enough light for my needs. Two of my front arch windows are not well lit and I needed an economical way to keep them lit to discourage would be peeping toms. Using double-sided tape, I taped the mounting bracket high on the glass window and then mounted the lights to the brackets. Don't know how long the lights stay on before they lose their juice, but they stay on long enough to serve as a deterrent when my family is still awake wondering around the house.

These lights came cracked when I received them. I have not had time to return, so that is most certainly my fault nonetheless it was probably mishandled during shipping. The lights are bright so that is the plus. The only thing I didn't realize/ don't like is the fact that the plastic lens is checkered so it emits a checkered shadow light. So I was unable to use with the application I intended for but will use them for a different project. Seem to be well designed, except for the cracks in the panel...
