Awesome Speakers!!,

This review is from: Cerwin-Vega E-710 10-Inch 3-Way Floorstanding Speaker, Black Ash (Single) (Electronics)
I have owned a set of these speakers for awhile now. Their tonal quality is fantastic, and they do a great deal with whatever power they are given. Mine are driven by a TXDV838 Onkyo reciever, and mated with the E-76c center channel and a pair of E706 rear speakers. The set is voice matched for the utmost clarity in Home theater. These fellas can pump out the sound on there own though. Put them in a two channel setup and you can get some pretty good thump going, just not quite the same as a stand alone sub though. All in all these speakers have done everything I expected and more. They are a great buy for mid price home theater or just a kick @ss stereo system.

...very robust boom-boomness though not quite as good as having a quality subwoofer, but if you're mainly looking for a party speaker this is not a bad choice. There's a reason Cerwin Vegas are so popular at fraternities and sororities! However, look elsewhere if you want something with more finesse and clarity in the midrange and natural not shrill treble---especially lovers of jazz, classical, or vocal-dominated music. |
