The woofer owes its elite performance to its custom-designed cast-aluminum frame, fiber-impregnated cellulose cone, and huge high-temperature voice coils. The construction details create a powerful bass response and--in tandem with the midrange driver--a much more pleasing middle that extends well beyond the weak, distorted mids commonly associated with large-driver two-way speakers. The proprietary, computer-optimized mid- and high-frequency waveguide, meanwhile, helps integrate the higher frequencies, so listeners won't have to endure "gaps" in the sound when listening to soaring movies or music.
The speaker is packaged individually, so listeners will want to buy another CLSC-15 (each speaker can handle up to 400 watts of peak power) to create a seamless stereo setup. As an alternative, listeners can blend the CLSC-15 with other Cerwin-Vega Classic series speakers--such as the CLSC-6 bookshelf surround speaker (ideal for the rear channels) and the CLSC-6C center speaker--to enjoy full-fledged home theater sound. And though a subwoofer is generally recommended for home theater use, the CLSC-15's low bass rating of 26 Hz renders it unnecessary unless you really want to rattle the floorboards.
The CLSC-15 measures 16.5 by 40 by 16.6 inches (W x H x D) and is backed by a five-year warranty on parts and labor.

Well if you're looking for sheer brute FORCE, i.e. loudness loudness loudness with punchy bass, exaggerated highs and thin mid-range, then these are the dope, indeed. Perfect for headbangers and rappers, much less so for genres like classical or jazz which require more accuracy and naturalness than simple thumpety thump.
Great if you like throwing house-shaking, police-provoking parties, there's a reason why these are real popular at frat houses especially. You will need a good strong amp to run them to get the maximum effect though, I'd even recommend a separate dedicated amplifier over an integrated receiver.
