The dual woofers owe their elite performance to their custom-designed cast-aluminum frames, fiber-impregnated cellulose cones, and huge high-temperature voice coils. The construction details create a powerful bass response and--in tandem with the midrange driver--a much more pleasing middle that extends well beyond the weak, distorted mids commonly associated with large-driver two-way speakers. The proprietary, computer-optimized mid- and high-frequency waveguide, meanwhile, helps integrate the higher frequencies, so listeners won't have to endure "gaps" in the sound when listening to soaring movies or music.

The speaker is packaged individually, so listeners will want to buy another CLSC-215 to create a seamless stereo setup.
