New chinese Chaco quality, November 19, 2010
I have been a Chaco fan for many years. I am used to the Chaco quality. But the quality of these new sandals, coming from its new factory in China, is disappointing. Leather is too thick, too hard and has been cut by dies in not very good condition. So, the edges try to cut the skin. The straps seem to be short and put pressure to the foot. Forget the suggestion of insert a finger between the foot and the leather. I miss the old Chaco quality: sandals received, sandals worn to enjoy the experience like with my old Chaco Jorge. Not anymore. I had to use emery paper to finish the edges and make them smoother. Final finish of the sandals seems to be too rough.
