5.0 out of 5 stars Favorite pair of chacos I own
I LOVE these sandals for a variety of reasons.
1. Excellent Arch Support. I have crazy high arches and these shoes give great support.
2. Keeps my feet aligned. Between the heel strap, deep heel cup, and toe loop, my feet stay aligned and saves my back and knees from undo wear and tear.
3. They fit my Fred Flinstone feet. I was nervous about purchasing a...

3.0 out of 5 stars Chaco didn't work for my foot
I had hoped these would work, but they didn't for my foot. The pattern on the foot bed rubbed on my foot too much. The arch reached too far forward on my foot. I felt like I had a bulge pushing against the bottom of the front part of my foot. Just didn't work. I went back to my Teva Toachi (have closed and open toe types). These seem to fit my foot the best. I know they...

I was nervous about purchasing a pair of chaco's with a toe loop because I have wide feet. Because the straps are adjustable I have had no problems fitting my feet.
A word to the wise - It does take some time and effort to adjust the straps to the perfect fit. These shoes mold to your feet so be patient in finding the perfect fit. It usually takes me about 2 months to fully break in a pair of chacos and find the "sweet spot" for the adjustable straps.

I have had these sandals for some time now and they are awesome! The unaweep technology allows for your own custom fit and the footbeds have wonderful support. I have worn these over all kinds of terrain and they haven't failed me yet. I would definately recommend these to all active individuals.

Love these sandals. Pricey, but they last forever so it's not hard to justify the price. My feet and knees feel great in these even after wearing them for hours at a time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love my trekking sandals, June 27, 2010
Living in the midwest I could not find the kind of trekking sandal I was looking for. When my cousin from CO visited the first thing I noticed was her sandals. "What kind are they and where can I get a pair?" I love them because the straps are adjustable for a custom fit. They have great arch support. I never wore sandals with a toe strap before but do like this one because I realize what it does is stablize my foot. I don't mind paying the money when I get my money's worth. These sandals are quality and worth it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, November 1, 2011
Great shoe. Great for walking outdoors and hiking. It's nice because you can walk in water with them, so if you are crossing over streams or something, you can walk in them.

5.0 out of 5 stars One good looking pair of shoes!, July 21, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I do enjoy theses sandals. I have plantar fascitis and the arch support in these make my feet feel great ( my doc said no sandals but that does not work for me). I am glad to have found something that has an athletic sole but is open and cool like a sandal. the strap is all one piece so every part of the shoe is fully adjustable. I must say it took me a couple of days to figure out how tight I wanted the straps to be, and where, but once I got it straight they have been superb. The shoe is only available in whole sizes and I am a half. I was advised to go up in size and while I cannot be certain, I believe is was the right decision.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very comfy footbed, July 20, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I was very impressed with the comfort of the footbed of the Chaco Z/2. The arch support is fantastic, although I felt like my heel wasn't sitting far enough back into the heel-cup - possibly a strap adjustment would correct this. Having said that, I will also say that the straps can be quite a challenge. The strap across the foot is one continuous strap so to adjust one you must adjust the whole thing. I found that as I walked the toe strap would tighten down to an uncomfortable level. I would have to remove the shoe and adjust the straps again. The straps that attatch to the heel did rub on my foot some to the point of discomfort. This may decrease in time as the shoe gets broken-in. I emailed customer service for the seller and they were prompt and helpful with their response. I did return the shoe because of the toe-strap issue. Customer service, again, was very helpful and sent me a UPS label to print making the return very easy. I ordered the Z/1 and hope they work out better. I gave the Z/2 four stars because of the foot support and comfort of the footbed. Would have been five except for the aggravation of that strap!

4.0 out of 5 stars Chaco ZX2, August 12, 2008
I had wanted to get a pair of these for awhile because I know people swear by these for light hiking in warmer climates. They are great for creeks and lakes. They blistered a bit on the inside of my right foot but it comes with breaking them in. They are a little confusing to finagle the straps but again, it just takes some getting used to. Definitely recommend these for anyone remotely outdoorsy.

5.0 out of 5 stars My favorite pair of shoes, June 20, 2008
This is my first pair of Chacos, and I really like them. The look and fit great, but it's the arch and thicker sole that make them my favorite shoes. They are incredibly comfortable to walk and stand in all day. I've decided they go with everything - just because I want to wear them with everything.
