Well Written, One of my favorites
I don't know where this writer went, but I sure would love to read more of her work. Well written, fun, just the thing for a rainy day. Lost my original copy, and bought another because I enjoy it as a reread.

A little disturbing
I'm not a regular reader of romances, so maybe I just don't "get it." But when a very young girl marries the man who was going to be her father-in-law (until his son dies), and he "takes her" in a sudden fit of passion -- it is altogether too much like rape. He later proceeds to awaken her sexually -- by having sex with her. This is not a healthy awakening to sexual...

I'm not a regular reader of romances, so maybe I just don't "get it." But when a very young girl marries the man who was going to be her father-in-law (until his son dies), and he "takes her" in a sudden fit of passion -- it is altogether too much like rape. He later proceeds to awaken her sexually -- by having sex with her. This is not a healthy awakening to sexual awareness. Couldn't get past the creepy aspects of their relationship (or his creepy relationship with his mistress).
