This was a gift for my grandchildren. They love all the Chadwick books and this one is no exception. They interweave a lot of envirnmental and wildlife information into the story and the children learn lots of information without realizing they are learning.

Includes many of the characters of the original Chadwick stories, in a longer form but still can read the entire book at one bedtime session. Holds the attention of my 8 year-old boy. Provides some new words to discuss. Love and marriage theme. Not a complex or clever story, but worthwhile. The Chadwick series is one of a long list of favorite stories.
