This has to be the most incredible, swampy, funky thing Aretha ever recorded. The intro is absolutely stunning - I can't for the life of me understand why it was edited out. The song makes so much more sense when you hear it after the arresting intro. I can't even bring myself to listen to the edited version anymore after hearing this.
If this were the only thing she'd ever recorded she'd still be a legend.
