This focuses on the second half of Ross' career which makes it well worth having as compilations of these of Ross are scarce. The album kicks off with one of the most famous songs in her long standing career, "CHAIN REACTION" which is an affectionate tribute to her heyday of the 60's with The Supremes. Its followed on by the reggae styled "I AM ME", the excellent Stevie Wonder penned track "Blame IT ON THE SUN" and the funky ,grooving "SWING IT" There is nothing from one of Ross' best albums "RED HOT RYTHM N BLUES" which is disappointing,but, on the whole, the album tracks selected, covers a vast range of a lot of her lesser known work despite most of the tracks being good to very good. The album closes with the heavy rock track "FOOL FOR YOUR LOVE" which by far is one of Ross' most diverse tracks with a heavy rock treatment given to it.Anyone thinking of buying this who has hardly heard any of the tracks included-buy it! A good album and worth having!

This and the motown anthology are definite must haves for the diehard and new fan alike. This showcases some of the RCA and MOTOWN early 80's to mid 90's releases. Favorites here are "chain reaction", "swing it" (new to this reviewer), "blame it on the sun", "don't give up", "i love being in love", "i'm watching you", "sweet surrender" and the hard rocking! ("fool for your love"). Good stuff cheap!
