A Beautiful Musical Experience,
By Corey West "Grandma Lake" (Bellevue, NE, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Chakra Healing Zone (Audio CD)
I absolutely love this CD! I find it affects me in a way I can't quite describe....I just believe it really does connect with my chakras to balance and heal them. I love to play it while I'm working at the computer, as I believe it helps counteract the effect of "computer numbness" I can suffer from. I even used it with a group last week for gentle body movement and they also loved it. I have ordered one as a gift for my massage therapist.

Wonderful! Beautiful music and sounds. It's most effective if you take the time to sit quietly and do the meditation. The first track is relaxing, the next seven focus on each of the chakras and the final track brings you back to feeling alert and energized. A wonderful meditation and healing CD. A definite five stars!

Introspective and Peaceful,
This review is from: Chakra Healing Zone (Audio CD)
This album creates a space of introspection beautifully and easily. Easy to lose yourself in, this disk is one of my meditation favs. Love the multitude of layers and peaceful soundscapes. I LOVE Sophia's voice also. Musical Healing by the same artists is another great one to check out. I am a happy listener!

A Musical Healing Gem,
By Florian Evers (Taos, New Mexico) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Chakra Healing Zone (Audio CD)
Here's yet another musical healing gem from Sequoia Records. This title showcases a variety of excellent healing music masters including David & Steve Gordon, Sophia and Shajan as well as a number of wonderful new artists including Win Meyerson and Robin Silver. I just picked this title up and have been using it in my healing practice and my clients are loving it. The tonality and crafted ambient sounds set the perfect mood for subtle energy and body work sessions. Really superb.

I love this cd! It is great for just relaxing and getting in touch with ones self. I use it in my Reiki pratice. Many of my clients like to listen to this cd while getting treatment, most say they see colors while listening to it.

Great music bad mp3,

This review is from: Chakra Healing Zone (MP3 Download)
I think this music is wonderful and my rating actually goes towards the mp3 aspect of this music. If I had to rate the music i would give it a 4 maybe 5 star rating. The Mp3 quality, however, is really bad. I had this cd once long ago and loved it, I saw it was for download on amazon and thought, why not? Well all the songs skip pretty bad and I wouldn't recommend downloading this as an Mp3, I would just go ahead and spend the extra few dollars and buy the cd.

Nine Peaceful Visions of World Spirituality,
This review is from: Chakra Healing Zone (Audio CD)
This CD is a compilation of 9 mystical, contemplative pieces (some new) by 6 different musicians (or groups). There are influences from India, the Far East, & Native America embedded in an ambiently world-music feel. Light touches of Nature are added here & there.
I was distracted by the lyrics sung in the first piece. Not so for the other tracks, being either completely instrumental or the words not being in English. I really like that there is an introductory piece before entering the seven chakras and one afterwards during which i can integrate. What's fantastic is that the track chosen for the Heart Chakra is based on a heart-beat! The seventh song is startlingly loud. I wish it were placed sixth; then it would be for the Throat Chakra, which would be appropriate in that it is the human voice (a beautiful one too). The piece chosen for the Crown Chakra has a full spectrum of sound, which appropriately matches the radiance of delicate white light. For me, the use of minor keys is not melancholy at all, it just gives an Eastern or indigenous feel. The insert is overstated; so is the producer's review here on this webpage. However, the cover is evocatively gorgeous.

melancholy yet uplifting mix of ancient and modern sounds,
By

Claire reviewed this for us at Djfix.com/Raves.com and here's what she had to say: "Highs and lows. I absolutely love some of this CD. Please read this review understanding I am a relative novice when it comes to what this CD id designed for: meditation, yoga & massage. However, when Sophia starts off singing, and after listening to this release nearly nonstop for the past week, the lead track "Transformation / Return" is one of the ones I skip through as this repeats on my stereo. The church organ-esque "5th Chakra / Vishudda" is another. Now with that negativity out of the way, I can relax and enjoy her non-English chanting on "6th Chakra / Ajna." Sink slowly into the very mellow, ambient instrumentals infused with nature sounds and soft resonant bass beats of "1st Chakra / Muladhara" and "2nd Chakra / Svadhisthana" and most of the other tracks. (Though I can't help but giggle when one singer calls out, "Here comes the golden rain." He he. Not exactly the imagery that relaxes me!!) Looking inside the CD booklet reveals that about half of these songs have appeared on prior Sequoia releases, but they don't sound familiar and stale even to a Sequoia junkie like me. I really enjoy balancing out my musical tastes, and since I also love my dose of 80s dance, upbeat trance, and deep house, I'll buy that Chakra Healing Zone is "balancing your inner mythical world" with its melancholy yet uplifting mix of ancient and modern sounds. A very nice addition to any chillout collection, though personally I'll be doing a little re-assembly in my iTunes to let the flow wash over me... without having to hit the skip button."
