Book Description

November 8, 2000
The numbers seven and 12 permeate our lives: there are seven days in a week, 12 months in a year and seven notes in a scale. Kundalini - evolutionary energy - starts with the seven main chakras. This book explores the spiritual rhythm of these numbers and how, by opening up to their energies through meditation you can speed up your own personal growth.

About the Author

Genevieve Lewis Paulson is the director and president of Dimensions of Involvement, Inc., a non-profit growth center located on 165 acres of the Ozark mountains in Arkansas, a center of psychic, personal, and spiritual learning, accrediting students in the study of Kundalini energy development.  In the early 1970s, she founded Sunergos, Inc., a spiritual growth center in Chicago.  Where her new experiences might have led her to abandon Western religious beliefs, she instead found a method to meld two varieties of truth, creating a synthesis of two great traditions of belief.

Stephen J. Paulson has been active in the growth field since 1975.  He is trained in psychotronics, rebirthing, Swedish massage, Touch for Health, Polarity, Energy Counseling (including reincarnation), and Kundalini.  He is Treasurer of Dimensions of Evolvement Inc., a non-profit growth center.  He has five children and three grandchildren.  He also operates OEC publishing which publishes pamphlets and other materials written by Genivive Lewis Paulson (his mother) and himself.

1.0 out of 5 stars Nothing About Chakras, March 10, 2011
This review is from: Chakras, Auras & the New Spirituality: A Complete Guide to Opening the Seven Senses (Paperback)
Considering it's the first word in the title, I expected this book to have something on Chakras - no dice. Not even listed in the index. Some of the meditations are o.k. but this book is ultimately way too hippy dippy and religious for me and focused too much on the "spirituality"; i.e., religious aspects of meditation. I wish that it had focused more on tangible health concerns which can be studied through understanding chakras and alignment with your own body and humanity, rather than some divine mumbo jumbo.

I'm hoping this book will help me to understand the meaning of chakras and their place in my life. The book is in fantastic condition and I got it for a great price. Will purchase from this seller again if the opportunity comes about.
