Chakra by chakra, this book explains the location of the energy centers and the information associate with each one. The first chakra, for example, is near the base of the spine and contains information on relating to the physical world. Each chapter concludes with simple and helpful exercises to own and use that particular chakra.

Three meditations follow the information about chakras which provide guidance first to cleanse the chakra system, then to feel your own energy in each chakra, and then to 'read' your chakras layer by layer.

I found this book to be a wonderful introduction to understanding - and working with - the chakras. After reading many esoteric and conflicting accounts of the chakra system, I found Flora's straight forward style refreshing and the meditation techniques easy to follow. I recommend this book wholeheartedly.
