This thing is seriously a piece of junk, and is SO poorly made!
I am honestly shocked that this company charges ninety bucks for this thing. It's like this was quickly made with little care, thought or concern. If there were any quality checks done at all on this thing, it was done by someone who only cares about moving product. I was so excited to get this for my son's birthday, and now I am sending it back for a refund and will get him something else. It's really too bad. This item is made from cheap plywood that has all kinds of chip-out and splinters. The company doesn't even bother to properly sand the grooves that the marbles/balls roll through (IF they even DO sand at all), or fill in the chip outs from the layers of plywood splitting. This toy is obviously made from some of the cheapest quality plywood available. This could have been such an awesome toy, but unfortunatly the pure lack of quality and care just ruin it! There are some great plywood toys out there, but this is NOT one of them. Now apart from the quality issues, all this toy is is a layer of plywood with routered out grooves. The bottom (what makes this toy actually 'rock' around) is just a small piece of wood screwed to the bottom. It is like someone cut a wooden ball in half (maybe 4"?) and screwed half of it to the underside to make it rock. I guess this is fine, but not what I was expecting. Anyone with a bit of woodworking skill (or determination) and tools, could easily make this toy for less than twenty dollars. Also, I want to add that this review is for this specific toy and the company who actually makes it, NOT the company selling it here on Amazon. Everything was fine on that end, fast shipping, well packaged, etc. As I said, this toy is going back. I will not spend my families' money on junk like this.

This balance board is sturdy and nicely constructed, but there is little room to shift the feet around. The pivot point on the bottom is a half-round piece of wood (half ball), so if you have hardwood or linoleum floors to protect, make sure this toy is used on carpet or out of doors.
Other than that, it's a load of fun, but for serious balance practice I would recommend the Indo-Board which is sold at surf shops, skate shops, and on the web everywhere. For a similar price one has much more flexibility in usage. The Indo-Board won't mar your floors, either.

Works best on hard flooring. Don't see this product being used for a long time and the balls are easy to lose. Other than that the grandchildren had great fun with it.
