If your interested in Neo Classical guitar, this is a good place to start. Probably not for beginners but anyone at an intermediate level should be able to use this book. The arrangements are good and not over complicated. IF you're looking for something a bit more advanced then I would check out "Shredding Bach" but if you like metal but want to try something a little different, and it may help with some of your technique,this is a good book.
ONE NOTE: the cd is ok. It does not play the entire piece, only sections. YOu may want to familarize yourself with the original music (it won't hurt, I promise!) It will help make more sense out of this method. Good luck and have fun!

Pros: A lot of good songs
Cons: Would have been helpful to have right and left hand fingerings A good number of interesting pieces, but not a lot of technique discussed here. I did not have the CD which would have helped to hear them at full speed. Overall decent buy.

Wow! What a great book/cd set. I am NOT a shred-head guitarist and am thankful that the author includes audio examples where it sounds like he's playing an ES-175 through a nice clean amp. He goes from heavily distorted examples to very clean ones. Excellent. And his playing is spot on with the music. The examples are short - maybe too short for some, but I like them because I can use them as riffs in my own playing (secretly sneaking in a Bach or Mozart lick is cool while you solo). I give this book/cd set 5 stars - definitely worth it and definitely worth the price - what are you waiting for? Make your technique better and get this product!
