Moparparts.co offered poor customer service. My wife had to reorder from Steve White Motors.
1. Make sure you boil some water.
2. Put in the brake pedal for 1 minute
then take it out.
3. Begin to stretch the back flaps and
loosen them up.
4. Put them in the boiling water and do
this again a few more times. This will
help in allowing you to correctly
installing the brake pedal.
5. Ensure you firmly slide in the bottom
portion on first while lifting and
holding the top portion flap to lift
it on the metal pedal to properly
** A small stubby screw driver will help
you in sliding the flaps along the
metal brake pedal. A little soapy
water will help. They look really nice
after they are one.
The gas cover simply snaps into place. Easiest install ever. However, to get the brake cover on, you must place the cover in a bowl of hot, sudsy water to get the rubber to soften up (very important). The problem is, it is NOT easy at all to get the cover to fit, and worse yet you're pretty much pressed for time, because the rubber hardens as it cools off.
But once you get it on, man do they look nice. I have some custom LED lights in the footwells (and air vents :p) and the reflection of the light looks awesome.
BTW the gas pedal slips on easily.
I have a 2011 Dodge Charger V6 and i'm a bigger guy, so with the seat all the way back and reaching down this was annoying.
Basically you have to get a little warm water and put some dish washing soap in it. Dip your finger in it and rub it along the in-seem of the rubber brake pedal cover to moisten, then the diagram provided instructs you to slip it on from top to bottom while guiding the left and right sides of the rubber around the brake until it slips into the bottom rubber lip and then you pry the top rubber lip over the last bit of the uncovered pedal to finish.
They look great. Would be nice if they provided a little tool to help put it on more easily.
