5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful!
(Don't read this review if you don't want to know what happens)!! This is a excellent book! I was thrilled when Sam got to ride the Phantom!!!! I mean it was a little unrealistic, but I enjoyed it. I was very shocked when the cougar attacked Sam! I was glad Sam wasn't upset about hearing that her dad and Brynna are going to get married. It is my third favorite book in...

1.0 out of 5 stars Fantasy and irresponsible horse owners
These books are pretty much fantasy. And WHY may I ask does everyone's horses get loose or run off or get stolen in all these books? Irresponsible horse owners is the answer. Look, it's fine to read these, but what I am trying to say is what goes on in these books would NEVER EVER HAPPEN! That is why I call them fantasy.

5.0 out of 5 stars ~*The Phantom Stallion*~ The Challenger, May 14, 2003
Sam and Jen have a fight Jen thinks she hanging out with Rachel, there are Wildcats trailing Phantom herd. Wyatt and that BLM Brynna's relationship has rely sparked up, and Jake well, that would be telling wouldn't it? Anyway best of all the Phantom's son New Moon challenged him! Now if there is somthing I learned with these books the author never waists one line, so pay attionten. New Moon was mentioned in the 4th Book so you knew somthing was coming. Just so you know the next book after this comes out May 27th, and don't forget.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lina's Review of Free Again, January 5, 2004
By
Lina (Boyertown, Pa USA) - See all my reviews
In the Phantom Stallion book, Free Again, by Terri Farley, Sam gets into another exciting adventure. This time it involves a seemingly mean old neighbor. Mrs. Trudy Allen doesn't seem like the type to save the day- she doesn't even take care of her horses properly! However, she comes to the rescue when twelve unwanted BLM mustangs are endangered. Brynna, the nice BLM manager, has gone on a business trip and her substitute is a big know-it-all, who would rather put the sweet horses to sleep than transport them to a special pasture for misfit horses. Sam and Trudy Allen work together to create a paradise for unwanted horses, including a sweet, blind little mustang, Faith. In the end, Sam and Jake pull off a daring rescue on a cold, snowy night, and Sam snaps a picture that will win her the Night Magic photography prize.

5.0 out of 5 stars best one yet!!!, March 26, 2003

There are wildcats roaming the range near the Forster ranch, and Linc Slocum wants to kill them. Jen's dad is going to help him hunt them down. Sam thinks this is wrong, but Jen tells her that she would do the same if she were in his position, because Slocum will kick the Kenworthys off the ranch if he doesn't go. But Sam still wants to save the cougars, so she tries to get Jake to help her.
Meanwhile, Sam and Brynna saw New Moon and the Phantom fighting for the Phantom's herd. Moon gets badly injured, and Sam doesn't know what to do. How can she save the cougars and Moon?

5.0 out of 5 stars Phantom Stallion is a Great Series!!, March 3, 2005
I have read the first thirteen of the Phantom Stallion series, and The Challenger is one of my favorites. Like all the Phantom Stallion books, a lot of different story lines are presented throughout the book. You get to know not only the human characters, but also the horses, each of which have their own personality as well. I highly recommend the Phantom Stallion series for any horse lover!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Challenger, September 21, 2004
I love all of the Phantom Stallion Series. This one might be the best. I love this series because you can really feel Sam's love for the Phantom. This story also goes into more than Sam's love for horses. It goes into her school life, family troubles, and the heartaches of ranch life.

This book was amazing i just love how sam and the phantom connect. This book started by sam figuring out that there were courgars in the mountains and one day she got attacked by one but then her horse ( Zanzibar) phantom came to her rescue and she got one last ride on him.I love how terri just captivates you in her books and keeps you looked in till the end. She's very good at what she does and i can't wait to read more!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Autumny, September 4, 2008
A Kid's Review
I like reading this book because
it makes it feel like autumn in the
middle of summer. I'm glad that the
WHOLE ENTIRE book wasn't ALL about Sam
being sad about Bryanna and her dad
getting married. It made it a little
more realistic that one of the cougars
died. I liked it alot.

An amazing story, but not my favorite. Very good intro. Perfect for nature-lovers all over the world. A personal recommendation. I enjoyed reading this book. Very suspenseful but an amazing ending. I strongly suggest you pick this book up on your way through!

5.0 out of 5 stars WOW, November 16, 2006
A Kid's Review
This is probably the most important book in the series. Why??It probably is because some major things happen in it.Sam's dad gets married,Sam gets attacked, and Sam has her moment with the phantom.

This book isn't that unrealistic,I mean arn't all books supposed to be like that? That is why we have a imagination. This book is really good if you have horses and know how they are.

I would recomend this book to anyone who has a pasion for horses, and has a IMAGINATION!!!!

Check out Terri Farley's website and the phantom stallion's.I tried to put the adress ,but it would not allow me.
