A visual feast for the Palm grower, October 20, 1996
By A Customer
This review is from: Chamaedorea Palms (Hardcover)
Superbly illustrated with hundreds of colour phot!graphs, an excellent reference guide to the most popular group of Palms in cultivation. I once thougt all there was to Chamedorea was the one or two species available at the local K-mart. Wrong!. The breath-taking photographs, most of which were taken by the author himself in the steamy jungles of central America, are enough to make the Palm enthusiast weak with amazement and envy. All of the hundred or so species are presented, including the numerous elegant dwarf species most suited to the home garden. The accompanying text, with precise descriptions, cultural notes and keys to identity are of equally high standard. A must for palm growers everywhere
