Its DIP switches offer more than 19,000 digital codes per channel for added security and easy code selection and a red LED indicates battery strength and signals sent transmissions. With it, you can open and close a single garage door. Includes one 12-Volt battery.

I found this to be a perfectly good replacement for my Sears Craftsman model #139.53778 garage door remote. It even came with a battery.

In addition to setting the dip switches on the remote, I had to invoke the "Learn" feature on my garage door opener for it to respond to the new remote. This is simple task, and the instructions are included.

Once you get it working, there isn't much left to critique.

Just a bit of clarification. I replaced a broken 750CB with this exact replacement. I set all the dip switches 1-9 to match the old one as on instructions. They also show setting switches 2-9 only, but not with a clear reason at first. I found that setting switches 1-9 to match my old one did not work. I had to set switch 1 on zero instead of -1 as on old remote. Switches 2-9 I matched to the old one. Then the new unit worked. So if you set all 9 to match your old one & it doesn't work, set 1 to zero no matter what the old one was.Other then that great next day delivery as usual from Amazon! Unbelievable service! BTW my motor unit did not have any switches visible. Good thing I kept the old remote. Also FWIW my wife has an 850CB remote which also works my opener and it has no dip switches?

I purchased two garage door openers in 1992 from Home Hardware. One of the remotes quit working and the original store advised the product was discontinued and I needed to purchase a replacement for apx $50. Searching Amazon, I found this remote and it sounded just like the one I needed; so for $15 I took a chance.
It's identical to the one I needed except for the name on the front and the new one is black compared to the one I had which is red - no problem!
I set the new one's dip switches to the same configuration as the old one, pushed the button and voila! It works like a charm!
The battery included was a bonus as they are expensive to buy separately.
I'm a happy camper!
