Well made, good instructions, easy to install. Made a Chamberlain 7 foot door opener work on a 8 foot door. Comes with all necessary hardware and a new longer belt to replace belt that replaced the one that came with unit

I purchased and installed a new Chamberlain garage door opener. The install went well - EXCEPT - when I tried to adjust the door, it would not travel the entire distance to open. It turns out that the Chamberlain garage door opener is only meant for 7' high doors, but NOWHERE do the product specs or the owner's manual list that the opener ONLY works for 7' doors. I have an 8' high door. I don't mind purchasing the extension (at $50 it's a rip-off), but I find it very frustrating there is no mention that the consumer might need this part when purchasing the garage door opener. I wasted my time, and now I have to take it apart and do it over to add the extension. Nice communication, Chamberlain. Please re-write your materials and save the next guy some time.

Has worked flawlessly for 3 months. Easy to install and use. Lock setting is nice, although when you hit the lock setting, the "night light" light always flashes, which was weird.

Only problem we've noted is that it didn't necessarily solve the noise problem, since our actual garage door squeeks... but the unit is about half the noise of our chain one.
