I'm not sure why some people are having difficulty with this product, but I have personally not experienced any problems with this model. Maybe I'm used to the quality of these products since I had a similar keyless entry system on my old garage opener. The item is secure on the side of our garage and has worked from day one without any problems. We have had this system for a year and it's doing fine.

Super easy to sync with system.
Very easy to install (mounted on wood trim of a vynl sidding home).
You can program a PIN number for family to use all the time and keep private and at same time have a secondary number with number of uses limit; say for guests visiting.

I like being able to do yard work and not have to keep the house unlocked.

The first time you step outside and leave keys inside it will have been worth getting.

It's almost hard to review a product like this: either it works or it doesn't. It works. It is extremely easy to install (less than five minutes). It is easy to program - very clear instructions. It even comes with the battery installed! The only caution - make sure that you order the right model of remote for your model of opener!

This item came with all the instructions needed and it took me only few mins to set it up.

Easy to install and easy to program. So nice to have outside access to the garage if you're out in the yard so you don't have to go through another door.

Nice feature is the programmable extra code for temporary access. Used it once to allow my neighbors access to my garage while I was away and it worked fine.

This unit is made for garage door openers built after 2005 when the new frequency came out. This unit has worked great and my wife really likes the ease of use. It is handy way to enter the garage if working outside and you exited the house from another door.

It took some research to determine which one of these keypads to purchase, but once i received it the install and programming were painless. We have a Chamberlin garage door opener that was installed in 2007.

The plastic packaging is obviously designed for theft deterrence in retail stores, but it is a pain to get open. After that it was a very easy install, just two screws, install the battery, and program. I was able to complete the programing using the control pad by the entrance door to the house that also can lock the door and turn the light on and off, but if you have a simple button control you'll have to drag out a ladder to reach the learn button on the opener itself.

The guest code feature is very nice, you can program it for a certain number of hours or a certain number of open/close cycles. I have used it with contractors doing work around the house a few times, I just leave the door between the house and garage unlocked and also program a guest code on the alarm.

This unit works great. There are two holes to mount the unit (one is behind the battery - RTFM), and screws are included. Easy to program. Allows for guest codes that expire.

The Chamberlain 940D Wireless Keyless Entry System is simple to install and easy to use. I put it up in less than five minutes and had it running right away. The instructions are right on the flip up panel so you can set temporary passwords when needed that can be set for the number of hours you want it to work or with the number of attempts to open the door. I will never lock myself out of my house again! ;)
