This three-channel remote works with all Chamberlain "Security+" garage door openers with rolling-code technology. ("Rolling code" means that with every push, the remote transmits a brand new security code-one of over 100 billion codes, none of which is ever repeated, thus foiling "code grabbers.") The 953CB operates up to three garage doors and includes a button for turning garage-door opener lights on and off.
Uses one long-life 12-volt lithium battery (included); a yellow LED indicates battery strength. Compatible with garage door openers with red "learn" button and Chamberlain garage door openers built prior to 1 June, 2005; will replace Chamberlain remote controls with gray buttons. Get the right remote,

This remote is NOT for the newest Chamberlain openers (since 2005). If your current remotes have Security plus and the white/light grey buttons this is the correct remote.If they have the black/dark grey buttons this is the wrong one. You need the 953D.

I ordered this remote for a 3rd vehicle and was encouraged to read other reviews saying the set up was easy; and it was. -- Hit a button on the door opener motor, hit the button on the door opener remote and voila!

Wonderful experience! The garage door opener remote control was shipped in a timely manner and works perfectly.I have the garage door opener with the "orange" learn button and the remote control programmed easily following the enclosed directions. Searching - ordering - paying - receiving was very straight forward and pleasant.
